AT the Mercado de San Antón basement you can find this wonderful hidden treasure: Yokaloka, a genuine ramen place, serving decent sushi too. It feels very much like being in Osaka !
Avoid at all costs la rue Saint-Saëens: all restaurants are tourist traps. I had the most surreal ( bad) experience in a place called L’Ecailler: literally one of the worst meals of my life. It was my fault, for once I followed the reviews in Trip Advisor.NEVER AGAIN. My only excuse Is it was late And I didn’t know anyone in town. But the next days were wonderful And I enjoy enormously this incredible And very underrated town.
My top list:
-Hotel Residence Le Vieux Port.
– Restaurant Le Poulpe
-Bar Manolo ( Le Panier)
– La part des Anges ( great wine bar with excellent products)
– Restaurant Les Arcelnaux ( And the beautiful Bookshop just in front)
-La calanque des Figuerolles ( La Ciotat)
The bar Bertso is a tiny embassy of the basque pintxos in the Gràcia neighborhood. Their spanish omelette is more than perfect. Delicious boletus , stuffed mushrooms, good tuna marmitako, croquetas and an incredible piece of meat, CHULETON de ternera , for the days You feel like skipping OMS recomandations.
