Finally a good cortado

After sampling and tasting dozens of cortados in NYC, I can say without a doubt, the best cortado in the city is served in “Marlow and sons” in Williamsburgh. The second best Is served in “Dada café” in Park Slope, but the people is A LOT nicer in “Marlow and sons” so your cortado tastes even better there. So now you know.

Song: “I’m easy” Keith Carradine ( from the ” Nashville” soundtrack)

La Ripaille, je t’aime

J’adore “La Ripaille”. From my first meal here, I fell in love with this small, cozy and charming restaurant , hidden in Hudson and 12th street. Simple and classic french fare made with care by his very attentive owner, who always make you feel comme chez toi.
When you feel fed up with kimchi, pork buns, tacos or burgers, and all you crave is some decent meat or chicken with potato puréé with good red french wine, “La Ripaille”is your place. It’s also a very good place for romantic first dates. Good soundtrack including Serge Gainsbourg, Juliette Greco, and Edith Piaf ( I can skip the Gipsy Kings, though….)
